Job Description

As the Refrigeration Services Manager/Director, you will be responsible for leading, developing and managing our service department.  We provide professional service on industrial refrigeration equipment and processes.   You will have ownership of growing this vital aspect of our business and delivering the customer service and maintenance our customer desire.  We are looking to expand the size and capabilities of this team.  Aside from the service technicians, your team will include a Contract Supervisor, Service Coordinator and Service & Maintenance Estimator/Salesperson.

 

You will direct all of the Service Department activities (Start-up, Service, Maintenance, Estimation and Sales of Services) to meet our customer expectations and contractual obligations.  We desire to provide the most trusted, consistent, and reliable Preventative Maintenance and Repair in the industry. You will oversee the Training and Cross-training of the Service Technicians in all aspects of the technical requirements while providing our customers with a good experience in every encounter.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the technical group throughout the Northwest, 30 team members, some union.
  • Plan and allocate appropriate service resources to meet demands.
  • Maintain a two-week look ahead and daily adjustments to team schedule.
  • Develop standard processes and procedure for the team.
  • Continuously develop and train our service team to be the best in the business.
  • Interface and communicate with customers, sales and service teams.
  • Visit clients to develop relationships and grow service business.
  • Make calls with service team members to provide coaching and ensure consistent quality standards across the team.
  • Recruit and Develop new service team members.
  • Review weekly plans and daily logs for the service team.
  • Establish and ensure adherence to best practices, standard operating and safety procedures for the service team.
  • Work closely with sales team to evaluate new business opportunities and help prepare proposals and technical evaluations.
  • Create an atmosphere of teamwork, customer service, and innovation.
  • Proactively address and offer creative problem solutions to internal and client issues.
  • Maintain an awareness of the best practices and standards for service and maintenance in the industrial refrigeration industry.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of HVAC or refrigeration repair or management OR industrial facilities maintenance.
  • 5+ years of managing a workforce of 10 or more. (Experience with remote employees and unions a plus.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Excellent time management, project management, planning, and organizational skills to drive and motivate the team by setting priorities and systematically meeting deadlines and objectives.
  • Superior interpersonal and customer relations skills demonstrating sensitivity to customer needs and ability to work effectively with others to urgently address issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Track record of developing and implement strategic plans for the team/department.
  • Business Development experience and Team Development experience would be beneficial.


We anticipate about 20% travel for this role. (Company vehicle or reimbursement will be provided.)

 

We anticipate a salary between $90,000-$140,000 for this role.

This role has bonus potential.
